Welcome to Little Latch Lactation Consulting. By engaging our services, including purchasing consultations, courses, and using resources/website (www.littlelatchlc.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

Services Provided
We offer lactation consulting services, including antenatal breastfeeding education, initial and follow-up consultations, group sessions, baby weight checks, and additional phone or video support. Services are provided through home visits, telehealth, email, and written materials.

Consultations are provided by Shalee Buxton. Shalee Buxton believes that all information they provide is accurate and reliable. Reliance upon any information or material on this website, or advice received from Little Latch Lactation Consulting shall be at your sole risk.

Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate health and medical information. You agree to follow the advice provided during consultations but acknowledge that all care decisions are ultimately your responsibility.

Little Latch Lactation Consulting assumes no responsibility for any errors or omissions or the results obtained from the use of such information, and is not liable for any damages of any kind resulting form the use of, or reliance on, the information and material contained on these sites, advise given directly by Shalee Buxton in response to any inquiries, or any third party website linked to this site.

 

Bookings and Payments
- By booking an appointment, you accept our Cancellation Policy and Fee Schedule.
- Payment is required at the time of booking or within 72 hours of your invoice being sent.
- Payments can be made online through our website or via the invoice sent after your consultation.
- We will apply our services in a way that may allow for Medicare rebates or Private Health Insurance coverage, though rebates are not guaranteed and may vary between providers.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 24hrs before the scheduled appointment time will not incur any charges and will receive a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of consultation fee.
No-shows will be charged the full consultation fee.

Little Latch Lactation Consulting operates Monday to Friday 09:00- 16:00 hours, with home visits available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Consultations that include ongoing text and email support are welcome to text the contact number provided for support at any hour, however replies will only be sent during operating hours or at Little Latch Lactation Consulting's discretion. Replies will be sent within 24 hours. This service is not an on-call service and urgent medical advice should be sought if necessary.

Privacy and Data Collection
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Medical Disclaimer
Our services provide guidance and education regarding lactation. We do not offer medical diagnoses or treatments. For medical concerns, consult a licensed healthcare professional.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the use of our services. We make no guarantees regarding the outcomes of any consultation or service.

Intellectual Property
All content provided by Little Latch Lactation Consulting including educational materials and website content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute our content without express permission.

Amendments
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms. Little Latch Lactation Consulting reserves the right to change any price at which we offer goods or services, and to correct errors in the pricing contained on our website or in a quote to you. We shall have no liability for any such changes or errors and are not bound to fulfill services at previous or incorrect pricing.

Pump Hire Terms & Conditions + Medical Disclaimer

Hire Agreement

​​By hiring a breast pump from Little Latch Lactation Consulting, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions for the duration of the hire period.

​

Hire Period

• Standard hire is 7 days (1 week) from the date of collection.

• Any extension must be approved prior to the return date.

• Unauthorised late returns may incur additional fees.

​

Payment & Deposit

• Full payment for pump hire and pump kit is required at the time of booking.

• A $100 refundable deposit is required and will be refunded once the pump is returned:

  • On time

  • In good working condition

• Refunds are processed within 24–48 hours of return.

• Any applicable costs (e.g. damage, missing items, late fees) may be deducted from the deposit.

Pump Kit (Hygiene Requirement)

• The hire fee covers the pump unit only.

• A personal pump kit must be purchased and is not to be shared.

• For hygiene reasons, pump kits are non-refundable.

​

Care, Responsibility & Liability for Equipment

• The client assumes full responsibility for the pump during the hire period.

• The pump must be:

  • Used according to instructions

  • Kept in a safe and clean environment

• The client is responsible for:

  • Loss

  • Theft

  • Damage

Repair or replacement costs may be charged if the pump is returned damaged or not returned at all.

Cleaning & Hygiene

• Clients agree to follow all provided cleaning and sterilisation guidelines.

• Only personal pump kits are to be used with the pump.

• The Spectra S1 is a closed system pump, however proper hygiene practices must still be followed.

​

Collection & Return

• Pumps are pickup only, unless otherwise arranged.

• The client agrees to return the pump:

  • On or before the agreed date

  • In clean and working condition

  • With all components included

Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

​

Use of Equipment

• The pump is intended for personal use only and must not be:

  • Shared with others

  • Sub-hired or transferred

​

Medical & General Disclaimer

• Little Latch Lactation Consulting provides breast pump hire and lactation support as a non-medical service.

• Information and guidance provided are for educational and support purposes only and do not replace medical advice.

The client acknowledges and agrees that:

• Use of the breast pump is at their own risk

• Individual results may vary

• It is their responsibility to seek medical advice where required

Little Latch Lactation Consulting is not liable for:

• Any injury, discomfort, or damage resulting from pump use

• Any illness, infection, or health-related issue

• Any impact on milk supply or breastfeeding outcomes

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Latch Lactation Consulting shall not be held liable for any:

• Direct or indirect loss

• Damage or injury

• Consequential or incidental damages arising from the hire or use of the equipment.

Agreement

By proceeding with a booking, the client confirms that they:

• Have read and understood these terms and conditions

• Agree to comply with all requirements

• Accept responsibility for the equipment during the hire period

​

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
